“Babe, wake up! Eia, wake your ass up!” I yelled as I shook the hell out of her. The next thing I knew, my door was flying open, and there stood Kenan’s and Elise’s asses with guns in their hands.

“Yo, are y’all good, bro?” he asked breathlessly as he looked around.

“Yeah, we straight. Her ass in here screaming in her sleep, scared the fuck out of me,” I said as I looked at Eia, who was mugging the fuck out of Elise with tears coming down her face. “Babe, you straight?” I asked her, and she just nodded her head, never taking her eyes off of Elise.

Eia stood up and headed to the bathroom, and we all just watched her until the door closed. “Why the fuck was she mugging me like I killed her cat?” Elise asked with a puzzled look on her face, and I just shook my head. Hell, I had no idea what to tell the damn girl. Once they were sure we were good, they headed out the room, and I went to make sure my wife was good. When I opened the door, she was sitting on the toilet, admiring her ring with a smile on her face.

“So you really did propose to me? That wasn’t a dream?” Eia asked with a smile on her fat face. I nodded my head as I walked toward her and lifted her up to sit her on the counter and positioned myself to where I was standing between her legs.

“What happened, ma? Why were you screaming and crying in your sleep? Then to wake up and start mugging your sister, let me know something.” She dropped her head, and I lifted it back up.

“That nightmare felt so fucking real, babe. I feel helpless right now being pregnant because if something were to happen, there is nothing I can really do right now to protect those I love.” She had tears rolling down her face as she spoke, and that fucked with me.

“What happened in your dream?” She looked everywhere but at me until she finally told me everything that happened. I was fucked up after hearing it, and the shit wasn’t even real, but fuck, that was some crazy shit.

“Look, when we go to our appointment later today, we’ll go with Kenan and Akoni and have several other soldiers with us; that way, we’re ready for anything and anybody,” I told her as I kissed her lips, and when she smiled, I felt better.

“I can deal with that,” she said as she giggled from me planting kisses on her belly. “Stop before you wake my baby up,” she told me, and after a few more kisses, I stopped.

“Now can a nigga get some rest around here?” I asked jokingly, and she popped my ass in the back of the head. I carried her to the bed, and as soon as her head hit the pillow, she was snoring and shit like she didn’t just wake up the whole ass house.
